Buenooo

Wishing you all a happy Valentines Day and all! I'm glad you got the package, it was something I put together really fast to take advantage of Hermana Dalia going to Colorado. they were going to go visit yall but I dont think they had the chance. I got letters from you all too! (not surewhat, our ZL just said I had mail) i think its the letters the YW sent :) WAY cool story about Jakes mission!

This week was such a fun week, so many memories we are making here in Kanasin. People in the ward have been getting all sentimental with me because everyone thinks im going this transfer, Bishop had me give a talk yesterday for my "going away" farwell. He always teases me because he knows how much I love kanasin and how much i dont want to leave.. I love him hahah. The sad thing is we were late to church for my talk. We have been working with a little 16year old mom (Cristina &Omar) whose husband is a less active for quite some time. shes committed to be baptized the second week in march!! but we were late to church because we were waiting for this little family and then we couldnt find a moto taxi.. I felt so bad, but it was so worth it for them to be there in church. I had the opportunity to talk about why the work in the temple is important. I spoke about the pioneers in nauvoo how they strived andgave so much of their time and their things to build the temple and how then how they left it...it was really cool thinking about my own ancestors being part of that time.

On Wednesday we spent a lot of the day contacting our references,I always love thesedays :) haha one house we came to I could hear a cat crying in the tree and I asked Hermana Pinguelo if she could hear it and before I know it she is climbing in the tree trying to rescue this little cat. hahaha but the terca thing didn't want to come down! after like15 minutes of waiting for it to move towards us so we could reach it, we finally got it out.. this little experience reminded me a lot of our situations in life.. how many times are we like this little gatito that we go off adventuring, and end up climbing too high in the tree. sometimes we are stuck there and we feel hopeless. but our Savior Jesus Christ is right there with his hands outstreched waiting for US to move closer to him so that he can rescue us. We must first move towards him, having faith even if we have fear. because he has already payed the price so we wont be stranded in the tree..

We are loving family history! Every Sunday at 5 we go to our chapel to work on family history with members, invs, menus activo TODO. Its so much fun! last night I think there were 30 people there! people bring their laptops or we borrow some and we all work on our family search. its been seriously such a blessing to me to see the desire and how excited our ward isabout family history. saving their families..

I love you all so much! Today is Isabels birthday so all the missionaries are going there to eat dinner with her. I love Isabel so much :)

LONG LIVE KANASIN
I loveyou all so much!!

GO HESTON! haha how fun that he was a little Mr. Wahlquist contestant, it made me laugh thinking about him "matching" with his little escort. hahah sounds like a little jacob. :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACEE. and what a neat experience about Alex and Saren. I think my greatest blessing in life has been my family I have been given. "mine is a home where every hour is blessed with the preisthood power."

Time sure flies when you´re having fun! On Saturday Hermana Lucy was baptized! I can´t get over how prepared she was to receive the gospel.. Her baptism was very beautiful, her uncle (the bishop) did the ordinance, and all there family was able to come. I think we had like 12 investigadores there ( all family of Lucy and Magy)  It has been so cool to see the gospel come into the family of the Bishop.. He was baptized 15 years ago, and now his family is starting to accept el evangelio tambien. First magy, then lucy, and we are working with lucys mom as well.. She cried to us while lucy had her interview because she wants tobe baptized as well, but she isnt married with her husband and doesnt want to marry him because hes a frito, but doesnt have any where to go. We are working with her on that right now.At the end of the service Lucy bore her testimony and I felt the spirit rushing through me so strongly. I cant even express how I felt.. She really is so special. We are preparing her to serve her mission. :)  It has just made me realize that none of our efforts are in vain, that there are people we are preparing every day to recieve the restored gospel of jesus christ. Even if its through little things, a book of mormon that we give to a friend, a quote we put on social media, a prayer we make, activities that we invite our families to (thats how we started teaching Lucy). The lord has need of us and our efforts, and we truly can make a difference. I sometimes find myself thinking, I´m one person, what kind of difference can I make? but thats not true. I am one with christ, WE are one with CHRIST. As I was reading through emails today and experiences from my family, friends, friends that are serving the lord in different parts of the world as well, I couldnt help but cry.. The experiences & miracles that we are all having. 24 young women in my home ward! the knocking doors and finding the golden one, the baptisms, sharing the gospel with friends, going to the temple, THIS IS THE WORK OF SALVATION. the most important work in the world! how great is our joy for being a part in such an amazing thing! a work that is bigger than ourselves, our fears, our weaknesses.. WE are ONE through jesus christ that strengthens us.
  1 Cor. 12:12-14
"12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all themembers of that one body, being many, are one body: so also isChrist.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whetherwe be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and havebeen all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
Whereever thou art, act well thy part. :)
What does the lord need me to do to strengthen my faith and firm my testimony in the Savior?
What changes do I need to make in my life and the life of my family to do so and fulfill thevision of God? (moses 1:39)
Who do I know that needs to feel the love of our Heavenly Father? and how can I help them feel that love TODAY?
to answer your questions mom - its different for every person, usually its family members or the elders if they are comfrotable with them!

LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. sorry this letter is scattered, didnt have much time!

BUENO!

Wow this week was great! I am so grateful for my mission and for the experiences that I am having here.. everyday my relationship with my savior is growing.. thank you mom for sending me your insights about the sacrament and the savior. It is so true. The savior is asking for us to "watch with me one hour.." and yet we find ourselves sleeping.. theres a really good talk in the liahona of januaray thats called "an hour to watch with him" (i think in english) haha

TUESDAY I was able to go to the TEMPLE!!! wahooo it was such a beautiful morning, FULL of missionaries, recent converts, miembros menus activo y TODO. it was such a beautiful day and such an grand opportunity. There is such an amazing spirit in the temple. As a mission  there were 573 baptisms completed. think of how many of our antepasados have been waiting for this day... it wasvery humbling. we went on divisions because my comp didnt go and the comp of our sister training leaders. I went with Hermana Carr from California. She is such an amazing, powerful missionary. Such an example to all.

This next week Saturday will be the baptism of Hermanita Lucy!! we are so excited for her. She really is so prepared. We had a lesson with her after church yesterday and I was asking her how she was feeling about her baptism andshe said she feels so content, so peacefull, so ready. She knows this iswhat she wants to do. She made me cry with her sweet testimony. There is no greater joy then seeing testimonies grow in others, andin ourselves.

Friday was probablty one of my favorite days in the mission. We had interviews with Pres. Garcia. Wow.. what an amazing man he is. He reminds me so much of Dad. I brought my little pamphlet of My Family so he could check it off and stuff, he told me that hes going to come visit me and my family so that Dad can show him the museum and so he can work with him. It amazes me how inspired he is, and how well he knows me. haha. We did the attributes de Cristo with him and helpedus with advice of what we need to do and work on. Later when I got home I started to read my patriartial blessing.. there were things that I never understood before but they were things that Pres. helped me understand. "remember who you are and what you stand for." such a  simple phrase, but such power to it. Jesus Christ through all his trials, all the mockery, all the lies, rumors, misdeceptions about him, he never lost sight of WHO he is. In life we have lots of oppositions. Many people telling us that we arent good enough, smart enought, ready enough, and sometimes that voice comes from ourselves. Christ never lost sight that he was the SON of GOD. that he was here for ap purpose and reason. Let us be like our Savior.. Let us change our thoughts and remember that we are sons and daughters of our heavenly father.  Let us live up to our potentials and stay awake with him one hour..

I love you all so much! have a great week.
